Equity and Non-Discrimination Policy

Our Commitment 

At Oodenaw, we stand firm in our commitment to fostering a cooperative environment that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusivity. We believe that every individual has the right to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other diverse attributes.

Equitable Opportunities

We provide equitable opportunities for all members, employees, and consultants to thrive and contribute to our cooperative. This includes fair hiring practices, equitable project assignments, and access to resources.

Non-Discrimination 

Discrimination of any kind has no place in our cooperative. We will not tolerate any actions or behaviors that demean, marginalize, or treat anyone unequitably. This is inclusive of cooperative and community members. 

Addressing Complaints 

Any member or employee who has experienced discrimination or witnessed discriminatory behavior is encouraged to report the incident. This can be done anonymously through our online reporting system or directly to a board member. We take all complaints seriously and will conduct thorough investigations to ensure a fair resolution.

Enforcement and Monitoring 

To ensure the effective implementation of this policy, we will regularly review and monitor our practices. We are committed to enforcing this policy consistently and holding all members and employees accountable for upholding these principles.
